When God Gives You Lemonade

Today I was thinking about the value of hardships. It has always been interesting to me how we grow more through hardship than we would if things were perfect. It really shows me how wise God is as my heavenly Father.

I learned a long time ago not to say that I’m having a bad day. It doesn’t mean that I don’t slip up every once in a while, but I really try to avoid using that phrase.

I’ve always been bothered by the saying, “When God gives you lemons, make lemonade.” For me, that suggests that God is giving us something bad and demanding that we make the most of it. I don’t believe that God gives us the worst and expects us to make the most of it. If anything, God gives us the best thing we need and we are the ones who make it worse.

So when God gives you lemonade, don’t try and make lemons out of it.
